The Ecomaster Company started as a management consultancy group, which advised organisations in the areas of Environment, Safety/Risk, Health, and Quality (SHE-Q, Environment-Safety-Health-Quality).
It turned out that there was a need for an integrated environmental management information system for companies. Ecomaster then started to focus at the development of such a system, under the authority of Professor Dr. Johan Braet, a professor in Environmental Management at the University of Antwerp.
Because Belgium is divided into three zones, which all have their own environmental legislation, and because Belgium is bilingual, the system has been set up cross-regionally and multilingual from the beginning. Thus, the system can comply with regional environmental legislation and is suitable for more than one language. Because of its core competence, Ecomaster did not develop the software system itself. Instead, Ecomaster found a high-quality software-developer, whose goals and ambitions matched those of Ecomaster. The name of this software-developer is Projex and they are located in Barneveld (the Netherlands). Ecomaster has established a long-term strategic alliance with Projex. The result:
