Expert modules
Ecomaster®’s Expert modules upgrade certain Basic modules and offer additional features. The following modules are currently available:
Moreover, an expert module has been created for the management of dangerous substances at industrial sites, ports etc. and the provision of information to disaster prevention forces.
Waste Expert Module
This module enables the following features:
- The planning of future waste flows
- Automatically generating documents based upon the planning and/or the execution of waste transports (such as request for collection and processing, ADR-checklist, CMR, safety regulations for the driver,...)
- The distinction between various user levels like “planning” and “validation” (by means of digital signatures e.g.)
- Print previews of documents that will be printed after being validated.
- Making comparisons between estimated and actual costs.
This module can also be applied in the windows Materials and Energy.
Air Expert Module
The Air Expert Module calculates air emission using formulas, which can be tailored to your company. You can base these formulas either on your own experience or on the formulas of official institutions such as EPA, TNO or public authorities. Ecomaster uses your input to integrate the formulas in the system.
The formula variables can be both qualitative as well as quantitative registrations of flows from and to any process, but also of warehouses, combustion installations or even taken directly from consumed fuel. Thus, the flows do not necessarily need to be linked to the emitting process. Moreover, specific variables can be entered into the system, like external temperature, altitude or atmospheric pressure.
Supported by simulations, you can evaluate the emission impact of new processes or installations beforehand and you can perform benchmarking.
The results of calculations can be automatically integrated into the emission report of Ecomaster®’s basic module “Air”.
This Expert module is based on the Basic Module Air.
Permit Expert Module
This expert system enables you to monitor the compliance to the environmental permits at your sites. It offers you the possibility to constantly monitor the identified environmental aspects for the various installations at your site and to determine the deviation from the allowed situation per environmental aspect compared to the actual situation. An advice to regulate and/or to ask or report the necessary adjustments for the situation in the future will be given, on the basis of a detailed comparison of both situations.
A number of documents will be generated automatically by Ecomaster® if you implement the suggested advice. Moreover, the permit or notification for which a request is submitted will be identified automatically. If the request is approved, you will only have to fill out the date.
This expert system is available for Flanders, Walloon and Brussels and is under construction for the Netherlands and France.
MSDSNet
The central MSDS expert produces validated and up-to-date MSDS and instruction cards that can be consulted and printed by everyone who has the right access privileges via Intranet. Corrections can be made immediately and the MSDS remains intact, regardless of the number of users. The same holds for safety information, which is customised per target group and completed with information from the in-house physician, ARBO etc.
This Expert module is based on Basic module MSDS.
Zoning Expert Module
Because of its database structure, Ecomaster® is also very suitable to support the environmental management of industrial areas where many companies are located. This has been developed specifically in our Zoning Expert Module, for the aspect "dangerous substances". This module is designed for industrial areas or sites on which chemical, petrochemical or other Seveso-companies are located, as a result of which permanent risk monitoring is required.
Experience tells us that having up-to-date information concerning dangerous substances is essential for the management of fires in industrial areas.
The Zoning expert module is developed for the management of dangerous substances in industrial areas as a whole and enables rapid intervention in case of a calamity.
This module provides the intervention services with the correct information on the location, quantities and characteristics of substances. These data can be consulted via Internet everywhere.
